Is Nordic Naturals third-party tested?
Partly: 1 of the 6 Nordic Naturals fish oil packages we track, not all of them. NSF lists a specific package against each certificate, and a certificate is what NSF actually stands behind, so a package the listing does not name is treated as unconfirmed rather than certified. Every row below was read against NSF's own listing, and the listing ID is shown.
NSF Certified for Sport holds one listing here, for Ultimate Omega-D3 Sport, and it names the 60-softgel bottle. The Ultimate Omega bottles are a different product line and no NSF listing names them. Nordic Naturals also appears in Nutrasource’s certified-products directory, the one that publishes IFOS results; the Ultimate Omega entry there carries an IGEN non-GMO pass and no IFOS testing result, so it is recorded as not listed under IFOS. The brand’s product page says certificates of analysis are available, which this site does not count as independent because the brand commissions them.
We also track 3 Nordic Naturals products outside this table, in vitamin C: Vitamin C Gummies, Tart Tangerine (60 gummies); Vitamin C Gummies, Tart Tangerine (120 gummies); and Vitamin C Extra Strength Gummies, Tangerine (60 gummies).

What the listings say
The records here rest on 1 Certified for Sport listing (1204292). NSF records some brands under more than one spelling, so a search on the brand name alone can miss a listing; ours are found from a full read of the directory, then opened one by one.
5 products here have no NSF Certified for Sport listing. That is an absence in a database, not a failed test: these programs certify what a company submits to them, and NSF Certified for Sport is one program among several.
What each product page shows
Where to buy: the fish oil shortlist
The pick is the cheapest certified product, at the exact package sold where the certifier names packages, with no adverse finding on record, a price its retailer let us read recently, and no more than a year’s supply at the label’s serving; per delivered dose where the retailer publishes a delivery rate. Where none does, it is the cheapest such product before delivery, and it says how far the order is from free delivery. It is the same pick the category page shows. Any answer shown beside it is the cheapest under a different rule and says so on its own line; answers that cost more than the pick fold under one line until you ask for them.
How these lines are chosen
Among 54 products and 54 retailer listings we track; Amazon and Walmart are not included. A month is thirty doses of the size in the heading, priced the same way as the per-dose figure beside it. “Delivery known” ranks only products whose retailer publishes a delivery rate; a cheaper product with an unpublished rate is on its own line, or in the full list below.

A pick has to be independently certified, at the exact package sold where the certifier names packages, with no recall or failed test, a price its retailer let us read recently, and no more than a year’s supply at the label’s serving. Where the retailer publishes no delivery rate, the pick is priced before delivery and says so. Nothing we track here clears all of those yet. Each of these misses at least one bar, and says which (the first clears the certification bar):

What this rests on: prices we last recorded at the retailer named on each product page, which go stale, and each page says when it was checked; the products we track, not every product sold, and Amazon and Walmart are not among the stores; listings and labels read at the source, each linked from the page.
